Macarons
To me, macarons are the ultimate luxury sweet treat to be enjoyed on really special occasions and preferably with a glass of something sparkling. The reason that I find them so luxurious is because i know what a tricky beast they can be to master but also how delicious they taste, so they really are worth the effort!
There really is a true skill required to produce a successful macaron and they’re not the sort of thing you can pick up on your weekly shop.
I developed a passion for macarons when I first saw and tried them at a friends wedding several years ago, so I embarked on a mission of learning how to make my own. It’s been quite a journey, as anyone who’s attempted to make them will know! They can be extremely temperamental, leaving you frustrated and wondering what went wrong that time.
After far too many failures and inconsistencies, I went on a macaron masterclass! one of the best things I did. It ironed out all the imperfections and resulted in successful macarons every time! Now, they are a complete joy to make, with me doing a happy dance around my kitchen at the end of each successful bake! Now I can focus on the bit I really love, and that’s coming up with wonderful flavours combinations for you to enjoy, and presenting them beautifully for your special occaisions.
About the macarons
I currently offer macarons in two sizes. The standard size is 3.5cm and i recommend this size for macaron towers and wedding favours. You might need to allow more than one macaron per person though! They will be really popular with your guests as they are so easy to pop straight in your mouth so they’ll probably want more than one.
I also offer a larger ‘treat’ size of 4.5cm. These are a lovely size if you would like to order a box of macarons for a birthday or seasonal celebration. The larger size feels like an indulgent treat, and one will (hopefully) be enough for each person!!!

Macaron Flavours
Macarons can be flavoured to match the colour of the shell, or be completely different with the colour chosen simply for the look. Personally, i think we eat with our eyes, so prefer to match the colour to the flavour, but it’s up to you.
